#1 Drinks For Good
Coppertail Brewing Co. (a local brewery in Tampa) has teamed up with the Florida Aquarium (also located in Tampa) and produced a special branded brew. One dollar from each can is donated to the Florida aquarium.
It’s a win-win-win. Your museum gets donations, the local brewery gets exposure… and the people get new beer!
Are there local breweries in your area that you can team up with and get a special brew made just for your museum that generates donations?
BONUS TIP: once the brew has been created, get local restaurants to carry it on tap (with a one dollar donation per glass of course!)
#2 Sensory Friendly Events
The Houston Museum of Natural Science has nights where people with sensory sensitivities can visit the museum and have special accommodations already in place for them. This increases the potential visitors and makes people more comfortable when visiting your museum.
Visit the HNS website Accessibility page for a starting point for your museum to do something like this… and of course 42Kites devices are great for people with sensory sensitivities!
